Hindman, Wilma

Wilma Beatrice Hindman, 87, of Festus died March 28, 2017, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation in Herculaneum. Ms. Hindman was a key punch operator for the United States Postal Data Center who retired in 1990. Born March 2, 1930, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (Miller) and Audrey King.

She is survived by a daughter: Jocelyn (Greg) Godier of Festus; two sons: Jeffrey (Beth) Hindman of Festus and Kerry (Cherri) Hindman of Crystal City; a sister: Bonnie Rhodes of Crystal City; seven grandchildren: Kayce White, Clay Godier, Shawn Hindman, Kimberly Hindman, Kristin (Danny) Wilkey, Jayme (Jason Hudman) Hindman and Joseph (Krystal Stout) Hindman; and five great-grandchildren: Carley Kalkbrenner, Mallory Wilkey, Kaden Hudman, Kohen Hudman and Joseph Hindman Jr.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Joyce (the late Robert) Pollock; and a brother-in-law: Richard “Dusty” Rhodes.

Funeral services were held March 31 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Cindy Fallert. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Missouri School for the Deaf. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
