Pinkley, Willys

Willys Pinkley , 87, of De Soto died Jan. 24, 2014, at his home. Mr. Pinkley was a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Aug. 25, 1926, in Lesterville, he was the son of the late John and Nancy (Suttefield) Pinkley.

He is survived by his wife: Mildred (Morlen) Pinkley of De Soto; three children: Clifford Pinkley of De Soto, Steven (Pamela) Pinkley of Festus and Darryl (Kelly Cofield) Pinkley of De Soto; one sibling: Ina Lashley of Farmington; eight grandchildren: Kerry (Jennifer), Terry (Autumn), Steven, Chris, Brandi, Brea, Kayla and Danielle; and eight great-grandchildren: Jasper, Jessy, Penelope, Austin, Ethan, Clay, Tyler and Kaitlyn. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Oran, Louie and Henry Pinkley; and three sisters: Mildred Parker, Irene Roos and Imogene Tinsley.

Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Steve Leach. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
