William Troy Kelley, 75, of Hillsboro died March 12, 2019, at his home. Mr. Kelley was a retired truck driver with Fred Weber Inc. and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. His hobbies included enjoying retirement, taking trips to Lesterville and going “Jeeping.” He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Lesterville, the son of the late Vernus and Hazel (Jackson) Kelley.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Debra (Smith) Kelley of Hillsboro; a daughter: Shannon (Mark) Markotay of Festus; a brother: Normand Kelley of Lesterville; a sister: Linda Jo of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law: Velma Kelley of Fenton and Joann Kelley of St. Louis; and three grandchildren: Ava Kelley, Josiah Markotay and Tessa Markotay.
He was preceded in death by a son: Scott Kelley; two brothers: Bobby and Harold Kelley; two sisters: Anna Marie Kelley and Ludean Goodman; a sister-in-law: Darlene Kelley; and two brothers-in-law: Billy Jo and Harvey Goodman.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Monty Roarke. Burial is in the Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
