William Louis ‘Bill’ McKee, 82, Festus

William Louis “Bill” McKee, 82, of Festus died Nov. 28, 2022, at his home. Mr. McKee was retired from AT&T and enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. He was a lifelong member of Plattin United Methodist Church. Born April 3, 1940, in Hillsboro, he was the son of the late Lois Estelle (McCarty) and Arch Ray McKee.

He is survived by his wife: Jean (Difani) McKee of Festus; two children: Richard (Mik Yong) McKee of Hope Mills, N.C., and Brian (Lori) McKee of Festus; three sisters: Mary Sue (the late Don) Turner of Overland Park, Kan., Doris (the late Dick) Huskey of Hillsboro and Lynn (the late David) Brust of Overland Park; and three grandchildren: Matt, Collin and Sean McKee.

He was preceded in death by two siblings: Robert Arch McKee and Betty Ruth Smith.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 17, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Kayla Roe. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Ozark Food Pantry or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
