William Louis “Bill” Laut, 76, De Soto died Jan. 5, 2023, at the St. Louis VA Medical Center at Jefferson Barracks. Mr. Laut was a dock locker and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Born Jan. 16, 1946, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Louisa (Bacher) and Robert Laut.
He is survived by three children: Megan Laut of De Soto, Andrea (Michael) Poe of Breckenridge Hills and Scott Poe of Imperial; and five grandchildren: Angelica Poe-Clark of Breckenridge Hills and Ainslee, Jensen and Pye Przygoda and Richelle Phillips, all of De Soto. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Niah Hope Phillips.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the CIA Hall on Hwy. J. A graveside memorial service will be held later in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
