William C. Leffert, 68, of De Soto died March 8, 2018, at his home. Mr. Leffert was a retired security officer for Jefferson College. Born July 8, 1949, in De Soto, he was the son of Jane (Keefe) and Claude Leffert.
He is survived by three children: Matt (Tiffany Scherrer) Leffert of Valles Mines, Jesse Leffert of Leadington and Kimberly Blalock of Powdersville, S.C.; a sister: Vergea (the late Doug) Birch of Hillsboro; a brother: Gary (Laura) Leffert of De Soto; 11 grandchildren: Cortney, Madison, Paige, C.J., Gabrielle, Alex, Tyler, Gabby, Kaitlyn, Kaylee and Dalton; and a great-grandson: Adrian.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Ricky Leffert and Jason Leffert; and five siblings: Marvin Leffert, Kenneth Leffert, Norman Leffert, Virginia Leffert and Margie Leffert.
A memorial gathering is at 10 a.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Ron Follmer. Burial is in the Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
