William C. Dunlap, 92, of Festus died March 25, 2022, at his home. Mr. Dunlap was the owner of Twin City Drywall. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean War, and was a member of VFW Post 3777. He was born May 11, 1929, in Dillard, the son of the late Arthur and Grace (Perkins) Dunlap.
He is survived by his wife: Mary (Medley) Dunlap; a son: William L. Dunlap of Farmington; two daughters: Deborah Dunlap of Festus and Kimberly Randall of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepson: Brian (Linda Grey) Boyer of Festus; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Lawrence Dunlap, Earl Sumpter, Howard Sumpter, Lonnie Sumpter, Jess Dunlap, George Dunlap, Lily Dunlap and Lena Weible.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at First Christian Church of Hematite, 3711 Hwy. P, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Phillip Wallace. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 3777, 900 VFW Drive, Festus 63028. Burial is in the United Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
