William Anthony Speropoulos, 73, of De Soto died May 11, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Speropoulos was a clerk for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Born April 17, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Kouchoukos) Speropoulos.
He is survived by three siblings: John (Rona) Speropoulos of De Soto and Frieda Speropoulos and
Eugenia Speropoulos, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister-in-law: Barb Speropoulos of St. Louis; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Frieda Kouchoukos; and two brothers: George and Frank Speropoulos.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Dave Evans. Burial is in the St. Matthew’s Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
