Wayne Daugherty, 77 of Festus died May 8, 2021, at the Cedar Hurst Senior Living Center in Farmington. Mr. Daugherty was a retired assistant superintendent with the Dunklin R-5 School District in Herculaneum. He served in the National Guard. Born Jan. 11, 1944, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late William and Kathleen (Price) Daugherty. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lynn (Wallis) Daugherty, whom he married on Aug. 24, 1964, and who died Jan. 26, 2000.
He is survived by two children: Mike (Sara) Daugherty of Hillsboro and Julie (Kevin) Kliethermes of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister: Carolyn (Wayne) Mosher of Troy; four grandchildren: Logan and Lyndsay Daugherty and Kamryn and Avery Kliethermes; as well as many other family members and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Morrison Funeral Home in Piedmont. Graveside services will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home
