Waymon Stevens, 81, of De Soto died Jan. 20, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Stevens was a welder for Continental Fabricator. Born March 16, 1935, in Alton, Mo., he was the son of the late Dee and Sarah (Shipman) Stevens.
He is survived by his wife: Audrey (O’Shea) Stevens of De Soto; one son: Brian (Rhonda) Stevens of Bonne Terre; one daughter: Debbie (Mark) Sheppard of St. Charles; one step-daughter: Donna Crady of De Soto; four grandchildren: Jacob, Sarah, Lauren and Tyler; and five great-grandchildren: Grace, Charli, Colt, Alexis and Aiden. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 North Main St., officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children, both in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
