Wanda Lee Copeland, 86, of Fredericktown died Dec. 30, 2014, at Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington. Mrs. Copeland worked at a telephone company in De Soto and a Sears Department store in Baton Rouge, but most enjoyed being a mother and a homemaker. Born July 12, 1928, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Virgie Hazel (Hawkins) Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband: David J. Copeland.
She is survived by five children: Jeanne (Steve) Wallace of Fredericktown, Marta (Barry) Moulder of Baton Rouge, La., Karl (Willa) Copeland of Fredericktown, Kim (Debbie) Copeland of Little Rock, Ark., and Scott (Carol) Copeland of Baton Rouge, La.; one son-in-law: Gary Doyen of De Soto; a sister: Shirley (Dean) McGee of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Ann (Harold) Williams Kemper of De Soto; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Dava Lee Doyen; a sister: Geraldine Brame; and a brother: Frank Williams.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Steve Stillman. Burial was in the Luckey Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
