Walter H. Weaver, 89, of Festus died Sept. 14, 2016, in Festus. Mr. Weaver was retired from Associated Cartage. He was a past president of the Jim Beam Bottle Club and enjoyed bowling. Born Dec. 12, 1926, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Samuel and Julia (Crowley) Weaver.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years: Helen (Ehrlich) Weaver; two sons: Steve Weaver and Walter (Leslie) Weaver Jr.; a daughter: Cheryl (the late Gary) Ballew; seven grandchildren: Vincent Weaver, Dawn (Ryan) Selsor, Christopher (Michelle) Weaver, Patrick Weaver, Ron Duncan Jr., Sherri Cook and Tiffany Biesemeyer; 15 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Alexandria, Matthew, Thomas, Alyssa, Evelyn and Christopher Weaver, Sydney Riddle, Austin, Emerson and Mallory Selsor, Mara Ferris, Emily Duncan and Akasha and Gabriel Biesemeyer; and a great-great-grandchild: Mitchell Riddle.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
