Walter “Dean” McGee, 88, of De Soto died March 26, 2020, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mr. McGee was a sales associate for Prudential Life Insurance who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Born Jan. 28, 1932, in De Soto, he was the son of Hazel M. (Hubbard) and Clarence R. McGee.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley (Williams) McGee; three children: Mark McGee of Festus, Ginger (Larry) Whitener of Hillsboro and Lori (John) Minnich of Festus; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
