Wade E. Stuart, 56, of De Soto died Nov. 1, 2020, in De Soto. Mr. Stuart was retired after a 30-plus-year career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Naval Reserves. Born Aug. 10, 1964, in St. Louis, he was the son of Joan Stuart-Malin of Kalamazoo, Mich., and the late Wallace Stuart.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Jeri Elizabeth “Beth” (Rowh) Stuart of De Soto; two children: Staff Sgt. Brandon Eric (Elizabeth) Stuart, USAF of Abilene, Texas, and
Megan (Neal II) Finch of De Soto; five siblings: Lori (Kurt) Patterson of Mapaville, Lara (Joshua) Shuey of Washington, D.C., Leah (Mike) Hose of Portage, Mich., Lois (Paul) Cella of Hillsboro and Wally (Kathline) Stuart of Greenville, Texas; and three grandchildren: Adelaide, Elle and Liam Eric, with another on the way.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral procession will leave De Soto at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.10, and travel to the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks for a 2 p.m. graveside service, officiated by Jim Richman. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
