Virginia “Ruth” Wallenbrock, 68, of Barnhart died Feb. 8, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Wallenbrock was a retired infant director at Wee Care Learning Center in Crystal City and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Born Oct. 19, 1948, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Grace (Oldham) and Clarence Marberry.
She is survived by her husband: Earl Wallenbrock; a daughter: Christina Marie (Jeff) Kendall of Herculaneum; a son: Earl H. (Sherri) Wallenbrock III of De Soto; two sisters: Eva Jones of Arnold and Jayne (Dave) Lambert of Festus; a brother: Jim (Linda) Marberry of Pevely; a sister-in-law: Mary Ann Marberry of Festus; and five grandchildren: Diane (William) Musgrave, Taylor and Sarah Kendall and Nicholas and Katie Wallenbrock.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Donna Boots; a brother: Richard C. Marberry; a brother-in-law: Allen Jones; and a grandson: Zachary Scott Kendall.
Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at Faith Baptist Church, officiated by Matt Culbertson. Memorials may be made to Herculaneum City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
