Virginia “Gini” Walsh Brown, 67, Festus

Virginia “Gini” Walsh Brown, 67, of Festus died Nov. 11, 2021, at her home. Born May 5, 1954, in Normal, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Mary (Schrecengost) and Dr. Raymond Walsh.

She is survived by her daughter: Christina (Jay) Brown Fowler of Grovetown, Ga.; two grandchildren: Nevaeh and Nathan Fowler, both of Grovetown; two sisters: Nancy (Al) Siebert of Festus and Carol Chance of Bonne Terre; a brother: Tom Walsh of High Ridge; a special niece: Amy (Mark) Walsh Fasnut; three great-nephews: Caleb Walsh of Valles Mines, Spencer Hall of St. Louis and Ryker Hall of Festus; two aunts: Nan Ochs of Chicago, Ill., and Virginia Schrecengost of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a best friend of 46 years: Nancy (Chris) Engel of St. Louis; a dear family friend: Betty Wieble; and many cousins.

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital Jefferson Cancer Center in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
