Violet ‘Louise’ Headrick, 92, Eureka

Violet “Louise” Headrick, 92, of Eureka died April 1, 2022, in St. Louis. She treasured spending time with her family and being an active member of her church, where she played the organ and the piano and sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and crafting. Born Aug. 31, 1929, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late James and Rilla (Summers) Crawford.

She is survived by three children: Alice (Steve) Rethemeyer, William (Esther) Headrick and Martha (Tommy) Dickerson; 10 grandchildren: Carla (John) Jennemann, Bill (Gina) Corn, Buster Dickerson, Margie (Ronnie) Rhives, Ricky Dickerson, John (Mollie) Dickerson, Eileen (Larry) Larison, Jessica (the late Ronnie) Pinkley, Christine (David) Todahl and “Little Charlie” Headrick; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Russell Crawford; two sons: James “Ricky” and Charles “Dennis” Headrick; and a grandson: Tommy Trigg.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, at First Baptist Church of Dittmer, 7894 Dittmer Road. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
