Violet Louise Goad-O’Harver, 90, of Hillsboro died Jan. 6, 2021, in Hillsboro. Ms. Goad-O’Harver was a secretary for the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro and for the Jefferson County Collector’s Office and was a member of the First Baptist Church in De Soto. Born Sept. 11, 1930, in Silva, she was the daughter of the late Lyman and Maggie (Meadors) Leach.
She is survived by her husband: Lawrence O’Harver; two children: Dennis (Jin) Goad of Oologah, Okla., and Marsha (Randy) Kostelac of Belleville, Ill.; two stepsons: Larry O’Harver of De Soto and Scott (Jennifer) O’Harver of Festus; three siblings: Mary (Bob) Westmorland of Bonne Terre, Jane (Charles) Fox of Patterson and Kenny (Ruth Ann) Leach of Patterson; a sister-in-law: Carol Leach of Owasso, Okla.; four grandchildren: Amanda (William) Blalock of Owasso, Justin Kostelac of Red Bud, Ill., Joshua Kostelac of Belleville, Ill., and Turner Goad of Oologah, Okla.; five step-grandchildren: Wyatt, Whitney, Wally, Jacquelyn and Jessica; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Orla Goad; a brother: Lloyd Leach; a sister-in-law: Doris Goad; two brothers-in-law: Fay and Gail Goad; and a niece: Rhonda Irons.
Funeral services will be private. Burial was in Marcus Memorial Garden in Fredericktown. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of De Soto, 2000 Grace Way, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
