Vicki Rae Zavala, 76, of De Soto died March 17, 2021, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mrs. Zavala enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family. She was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, a Blues hockey fan, and liked dining out, working crossword puzzles and flower gardening. She was born Oct. 22, 1944, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late John Andrew and Lillian (Cruise) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband: Don Manual Zavala Sr.
She is survived by two sons: Don (Cindy Thomas) Zavala Jr. of De Soto and Matthew (Traci) Zavala of Hillsboro; a daughter: Shirley White of Pevely; a brother: Gary (Lucille) Miller of Valmeyer, Ill.; and three grandchildren: Keith White, Danica Zavala and Zachary Welch.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Jonathan White.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. until a funeral service at 6 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. Private burial will take place at a later date at Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
