Ursula E. Sellers, 77, of De Soto died April 2, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Sellers worked in the proof department at Eagle Bank and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, where she served on the Parish Council. She was a volunteer with the De Soto Food Pantry, the St. Vincent De Paul Society and the De Soto Railroad Employees Memorial. Born Dec. 30, 1939, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine Ruby (Dollinger) Ganninger. She was preceded in death by her husband: James “Paul” Sellers.
She is survived by two children: James “Brad” (Bernadette) Sellers of Chandler, Ariz., and Matthew Paul (Wendy) Sellers of Wright City; two siblings: Priscilla (the late Roy) Bresh of De Soto and Robert (Barbara) Ganninger of Lorena, Texas; and four grandchildren: Michael Matthew Sellers, Elaina Ann Sellers, Tatum Nicole Sellers and Ethan James Sellers. She was preceded in death by a son: James Michael Sellers.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 504 S. Third, in De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church or to the De Soto Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
