Timothy Lee Hicks, 51, of Kansas City, formerly of De Soto, died Sept. 13, 2014, in Kansas City. Mr. Hicks was a self-employed construction worker. Born Jan. 14, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jerry E. and Hattie M. (Merritt) Hicks.
He is survived by six brothers: Rick (Sharon) Hicks of De Soto, Joseph Hicks, Daniel Hicks, Jason Hicks, Jeremy (Mindy) Hicks and David (Rebecca) Hicks; seven sisters: Tina Mattler of De Soto, Robin (Harold) Paul of St. Peters, Pamela Eads, Cheryl (Keith) Rapert, Hanna (Brock) Reddick, Bethany Stewart and Heather (Lee) Winkelmann; a niece: Dawn Selsor of De Soto; and a nephew: Tyler Paul of St. Peters. He was preceded in death by a niece: Missi Hicks.
A memorial gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the De Soto Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
