Thomas Warren Applegate, 70, of House Springs died May 24, 2021, in St. Louis. Mr. Applegate built a business as an NDT radiographer which he handed down to his nephew. He enjoyed hanging out in his shop, tinkering and working on garage things, fishing out on his boat, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a dedicated friend with an infectious laugh. Born March 24, 1951, in Whidby, Wash., he was the son of the late Kenneth and Betty (Turgeon) Applegate.
He is survived by his wife: Cynthia Ann (Isbell) Applegate; six children: Craig (Cassi) Applegate, Anne (Brent) Adams, Douglas Applegate, Jenifer (Francis) Hitschmann, Teri (Brian) Cook and Brian Applegate; five grandchildren: Kevin (Nina) Applegate, Aubrey Adams, Emily Cook, Benjamin Cook and Liam Hitschmann; two great-grandchildren: Franklin and Joseph Applegate; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Joan Cerutti; and his brother-in-law and best friend: Dan Cerutti.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
