Mullaney, Thomas

Thomas Michael Mullaney, 80, of Gulfport, Miss., died Jan. 13, 2022, in Londell. Mr. Mullaney was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a union pipefitter. He was a talented handyman and inventor, always giving to and helping others. He had a loud, infections laugh and loved to sing in his Irish brogue. He had many hobbies and interests, among them road trips, cowboy shoots, bumming and going crazy with his kids and grandkids, affectionately referred to as his “baby girls and boyos.” He was born Sept. 29, 1941, in St. Louis, the son of the late James and Anastasia (Gallagher) Mullaney.

He is survived by his wife: Judy Ann (McClellan) Mullaney; seven children: Tommy (Shana) Mullaney, Shannon (Matt Bejgrowicz) Mullaney, Erin (Tompey) Lawler, Colleen (Dave) Wolf, Dan (Brittney) Mullaney, Megan (Bradley) Hollenack,and Mathew Mullaney; 18 grandchildren: Reilly, Piper, Keri, Breanna, Eion, Spencer, Whitley, Tyce, Abigail, Edward, Alex, Ashlynn, Madie, William, Benjamin, Ava, Thomas and Amelia; one great-grandchild: Braze; two siblings: Mary Conley and Tony (Sandy) Mullaney; many nieces and nephews; numerous extended family members and friends; and several family pets.

He was preceded in death by three siblings: Pat (Jack) Mundinger, Jack (Helen) Mullaney and Jimmy Mullaney; and a brother-in-law: Bill Conley.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1000 Luebberring Road, in Luebbering, followed by burial in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 680 Craig Road 300, St. Louis, 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary
