Theresa Carol Pulliam, 75, of Crystal City died Aug. 16, 2019, at de Greeff Hospice House in St Louis County. Mrs. Pulliam was a 1960 graduate of Crystal City High School and retired from Special School District as a teacher’s aide. She loved music, especially Italian opera, Motown and rock and roll, and was a wonderful dancer. She was a constant reader of suspense thriller novels, which she shared with her brother, Bill. An accomplished cook, she opened her home for many family celebrations and holidays. Born Sept. 9, 1943, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Joquimo “Jack” and Genevieve (Gotto) Vaccaro. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Pulliam.
She is survived by three children: Tina (Garret) Smith, Jack Beasley, Carol Beasley; a sister: Elizabeth White; a sister-in-law: Peggy Vaccaro; a granddaughter: Olivia (fiance Dan Kirk) Smith; and two grandsons: Spencer Smith and Marshall Smith.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul Vaccaro, Bill Vaccaro and Mark Vaccaro.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
