Theresa A. Mercer, 71, of Imperial died Aug. 19, 2018. Ms. Mercer was a member of UAW Local 136. A kind and generous person, she was always caring for others and the first to volunteer to help someone in need. She was a creative person who enjoyed crocheting and crafts and loved her cat, Hobo. Born July 23, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Christ) Mercer.
She is survived by three siblings: Charles “Dave” (Linda) Mercer of High Ridge, Mary “Chris” Hamilton of Hillsboro and Rose (Mark) Anderson of Hillsboro; four nieces and nephews: Dawn (Damon) Buchanan, Amanda (Tony) Vaughn, Jenny Anderson and David Anderson; and a great-niece and nephew: Kailyn Vaughn and Jacob Vaughn.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
