Thelma “Marie” Muhs, 71, of Sikeston died Jan. 7, 2018, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.Mrs. Muhs was born May 25, 1946, in Catron, the daughter of the late Harry Burns and Helen Young Gibson. She was preceded in death by her former husband: Richard Muhs.
She is survived by a son: Joseph (Sherry) Muhs of Barnhart; four daughters: Hope (David) Lucas of De Soto, Patricia (Dennis) Tindall of De Soto, Donna (Mike) Steffens of Barnhart and Sheila (Chad) Thurman of Sikeston; three brothers; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service was held Jan. 12 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, officiated by Brother Scott Sutton, pastor of New Life Ministries. Arrangements were under the direction of Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
