Suzanne Alysse Barrios, 30, Festus

Suzanne Alysse Barrios, 30, of Festus died Dec. 24, 2022, in Jefferson County. Ms. Barrios worked as a nurse’s aide at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum. She loved crafting with her girls and making memories during the holidays. Born Feb. 7, 1992, in Festus, she was the daughter of Melodey (Welch) Meharry of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and Clement Barrios Jr. of Festus.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepfather: Chris Meharry; two daughters: Elaine and Katelynn Marks of Festus; two brothers: Joe (Eric) Barrios of St. Louis and Andy Barrios of Hillsboro; a niece: Kayla Barrios of Hillsboro; a nephew: Carter Barrios of Hillsboro; a special friend/sister-in-law: Hannah Barrios; her grandparents: Jim Moore of Festus, Sally Welch of Festus and James and Judi Bennett of Windsor, Ontario; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by four grandparents: Sue Moore, James Welch and Delores and Clement Barrios Sr.

Private family services and a celebration of life service will be held later. Memorials may be made to Mary’s House of Hope. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
