Susan Lee Taucher, 78, of Hillsboro died March 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Taucher was a homemaker and a member of Hillsboro Christian Church. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church. She and her husband fostered numerous children over the years. She enjoyed ceramics, drawing, painting, poetry, playing cards and bingo. Born Jan. 12, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Pallardy) and Stanley Mossberger.
Her husband of 57 years, Edward Taucher, died on March 26.
She is survived by a son: Scott Taucher of Hillsboro; three daughters: Beth (Mark) Olds of De Soto, Kay (John) Stewart of Hillsboro and Kristen (Christine) Miller of Fenton; a brother: Charles (Dianne) Mossberger of St. Charles; and two sisters: Kathleen (Ron) Buckley of Wildwood and Harriett Bacott of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Sherry Taucher-Dennis; two brothers: Harry Mossberger and Frank Mossberger; and six sisters: Jean Classen, Jane Wolk, Myrtle Verity, Margaret Haddick, Helen Nichols and Carol Brandeau.
Services were private. Memorials may be made to the Pediatric Neurology Department of St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
