Steven Eugene “Steve” Blackwell, 59, of Imperial died Feb. 5, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Born Nov. 29, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of Horace and Birdie (Redus) Blackwell of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 33 years: Sheila (Burton) Blackwell of Imperial; three daughters: Temeca (Richard) Fuchs of Imperial, Tasha Blackwell of Imperial and Trista Blackwell of Imperial; one granddaughter: Lilly Fuchs of Imperial; one grandson: Brayson King of Imperial; his mother-in-law: Vina Burton of Pocahontas, Ark.; three sisters-in-law: Veronica (Gary) Gray of Oak Grove, Ark., Vanessa (Joe Sanders) Burton of Pocahontas, Ark. and Victoria Lemmons of Arnold; one brother-in-law: Andy (Tina) Burton of Biggers Reno, Ark.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son: David Cody Blackwell; his father-in-law: James Burton; one sister-in-law: Debbie Burton; and one brother-in-law: Michael Burton.
Funeral services were Feb. 8 at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
