Steven C. Reuther, 71, St. Louis County

Steven C. Reuther, 71, of St. Louis County died May 7, 2021. Mr. Reuther was a Vietnam War veteran and worked in the Reuther family auto dealership business. He served as president of the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association and had a passion for cars and motorcycles and rode with the Crossing Riders. He served as president of Make a Wish and was a member of the Arnold Rotary Club, the Arnold VFW and Phi Kappa Theta. He was known for wearing socks with sandals and telling funny stories. He loved watching his children, grandchildren and nephews and nieces play sports, and he enjoyed watching Mizzou volleyball. He also liked watching history documentaries and war movies on his iPad, which was always by his side.

He loved traveling with his wife, and some of the places they visited included the East and West coasts, Hawaii, Vancouver Island, Paris, Bali, Athens, Los Cabos and Amsterdam. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his kindness and generosity. Born Feb. 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Leo and Norma Reuther.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Pat Reuther; three daughters: Jamie (Scott), Leslie (Mike) and Maggie; three grandchildren: Kaitlin (Alec), Brogan and C.J.; five siblings; nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends..

He also was preceded in death by three brothers: Noel, Leo and Bobby.

Funeral services were May 11 at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home in Creve Coeur and at St. Monica Catholic Church in Creve Coeur. Burial was in St. Monica Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home.
