Stanley M. Coad, 86, of St. Louis died April 3, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Coad was a member of Teamsters Local Union 688 and the Elks Lodge. He was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Ironton, the son of the late Blanche M. (Brooks) Coad.
He is survived by four children: Dennis L. Coad of Red Rock, Ariz., Laura A. Platter of Imperial, David S. (Lisa) Coad of Wellington, Colo., and Marianna L. (John) Renshaw of St. Peters; seven grandchildren: Jason Coad, Angila Singh, Aaron Coad, Joshua Coad, Andrew Kannady, Alyssa Kannady and Madison Chapman; two siblings: Joyce Pendleton (Vivian) of Lindsey, Ohio, and Alvin Coad of St. Charles; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia M. Kannady; and two siblings: Wayne Coad and Rosemary Jordan.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 777 Oakwood Dr., in Fenton with a celebration of life at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Louis University Alzheimer's Research. Arrangements are under the direction of Jay B. Smith Funeral Home.
