Stanley E. Lienhop, 92, of St. Peters died Nov. 14, 2019. Mr. Lienhop served in the U.S. Army and was an avid reader, particularly of history, gardener and cook. Born Oct. 10, 1927, in St. Louis, he was the son of Anna Marie (Wiese) and Harry Lienhop.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley (Dwiggins) Lienhop.
He is survived by two children: Keith (Marie) Lienhop and Karen Marie Patterson; five grandchildren: Kyra (Joel) Groeblinghoff, Josef Lienhop, Eric Patterson, Anna (Mitchell) McMunn and Sharon (Brandon) O’Rourke; and 11 great-grandchildren: Erica, Daniel, Oliver, Blake, Aleena, Luke, Alli, Alyssa, Ethan, Kenslee and Nolan; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Harold (Marjorie) Lienhop; a sister: Doris (Arthur) Worseck; and a grandson: Daniel Patterson.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
