Sondra Janette Black, 74, Hillsboro, died March 21, 2014, in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Black was a homemaker who loved her family and taking care of people.
She was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Fisk, the daughter of the late Curtis and Lucille (Alexander) Acre.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Black.
She is survived by three sons: Daryl (Roi-Ann) Black, Pevely, DeLayne (Kim) Black, Pevely and Bobby (Marie) Rodocker, Camden, Tenn.; five grandchildren: Amanda (Mike) Kinder, Dustin (Molly Roberts) Black, Layne Black, Dylan Black and Devin Black, Pevely; three great-grandchildren: Drayden, Morgan and Khloe; a brother: Larry (Shirley) Acre; and sister: Sue (Floyd) Bell.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Ronnie Acre.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1801 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Gibson officiating.
Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
