Shirley Temple (Tilley) Womack, 80, of Arnold died May 6, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Womack was a security guard with the JC Penney department store at South County Mall in St. Louis County. She was a member of People’s Church in Arnold. Born Jan. 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Abraham and Dora Gladys (Scears) Tilley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Leroy Womack.
She is survived by three sons: Mike Leroy Womack of Festus, Kenneth Eugene (Cheryle) Womack of Breckenridge Hills and Alvin Dean Womack of Arnold; a daughter: Sharon Shirley (Tommie) Nickless of Pevely; two sisters: Darlene Harter and Helen Robinson; 14 grandchildren: Dawn (Shane) Williams, Christopher Boyer, Joseph Boyer, Jamie Womack, Jennifer (Logan) Teague, Krystal (Joshua) Hayes, Timothy (Rachel) Nickless, Kimberly (Chuck) Binder, Justin Womack, Joshua Womack, Chrissy (Jeff) Cedra, Jesse Womack, Adam (Sarah) Womack and Nathan (Jessica) Womack; and 12 great-grandchildren: Luke Teague, David Teague, Lillian Hayes, Jacob Hayes, Colton Hayes, Grace Nickless, Justin Sampley, Jada Williams, Katelyn Williams, Elliot Womack, Noah Womack and Madelyn Womack.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at People’s Church, 1770 Missouri State Road, in Arnold, officiated by Pastor Boyd Brooks. Burial is in the Yount Church Cemetery in Garwood. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
