Shirley A. Woodard Kleinschmidt, 84, of De Soto died Dec. 18, 2019, in De Soto. Ms. Kleinschmidt was a homemaker. Born Feb. 24, 1935, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Edward Faenger and Gladys (Haefner) Medley.
She is survived by two children: Jackie (Kim) Greer of Bartlett, Tenn., and Kathy (Gary) Speidel of De Soto; two siblings: Jean Moss of Perryville and Norma Sander of Farmington; three grandchildren: Jason Greer, Jaime Butler and Bryan Speidel; and five great-grandchildren: Brennan Butler, Liam Butler, Sadie Grace Greer, Jackson Greer and Chase Speidel.
She was preceded in death by several siblings.
A memorial gathering is at 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
