Sharon Kay Gette, 69, of De Soto died March 8, 2023, in De Soto. Mrs. Gette worked as a CNA in Bowling Green, Vandalia and Apache Junction, Ariz. She enjoyed scrapbooking, writing poems, shopping, singing, drinking coffee, going to Disney World and spending time with her friends and family. Born Dec. 5, 1953, in Linda Vista, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Anna Darlene (Shaw) and Norbert Green.
She is survived by her husband: Joseph I. Gette of De Soto; two sons: Joel (Rachelle) Gette of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jason (Loretta) Gette of Bowling Green; two daughters: Chandra (Joshua) Shasteen of Potosi and Teresa (Mark) Newman of De Soto; four brothers: Daniel (Ruth) Green of Warrensburg, David (Patricia) Green of Austin, Texas, Donald Green of Bowling Green and Dale (Sheryl) Green of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren: Nathan Gette of Troy, Michael Gette of Carthage, Tenn., Elijah Gette of Louisiana, Mo., Shelby Harrison of De Soto, Abbie Gette of Bowling Green, Kayden Harrison of De Soto, Jazmine Ellsworth of De Soto, Ethan Harrison of De Soto, Laila Shasteen of Potosi, Connor Harrison of De Soto, Serah Shasteen of Potosi and Jared Shasteen of Potosi.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Izabelle Shasteen.
A funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by David Dick. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
