Daugherty, Sharon

Sharon Kay Daugherty, 62, of Festus died Oct. 3, 2015, at Festus Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Daugherty was a homemaker and was formerly involved with animal rescue and adoption with Fladersfield Kennel. She loved horses and collected St. Louis Cardinals and Coca Cola memorabilia. Born Oct. 7, 1952, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Shirley (Steinkamp) Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul W. Daugherty, who died in 2001.

She is survived by two sons: Jeremy Clark of Festus and Brian Hendrix of St. Louis; three daughters: Stephanie Clark of Hillsboro, Christina (Christopher) Van Queathem of Arnold and Jennifer Long of Terre Haute, Ind.; and nine grandchildren: Dylan, Danielle, Elizabeth, Jacob, Sophia, Marshal, Cameron, Christopher and Miranda.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Darrill Clark, Gordon Clark and Charles Clark.

Visitation is scheduled at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at

Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by Kenny Sims. Memorials may be made to C.A.R.E. (Coalition for Animal Rescue and Education), P.O. Box 2203, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
