Govreau, Sharon

Sharon Eileen Govreau, 71, of Festus died March 27, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Govreau enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and with her grandchildren. Born Sept. 26, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Leona (Ferguson) and Luther Floyd.

She is survived by her husband, Philip C. Govreau Jr.; three daughters: Marsha (Donald) Kentch of Festus, Leigh Ann (Todd) Beaird of Dexter and Carrie Govreau of Festus; four sons: Bryan Govreau of Atlanta, Ga., Steve Govreau of Festus, Andy (Lisa) Govreau of Festus and Kyle (Wendy) Govreau of Festus; a brother: Donald (the late Sandy) Floyd of Bloomsdale; a sister: Diane (Cliff) Jokerst of Imperial; eight grandchildren: Monica (Jason) Hallquist; Don (Candice) Kentch; Victoria Beaird; and Alexis, Spencer, Tatum, Abigail and Mason Govreau; and two great-grandchildren: Aiden and Adelynn  Kentch.

Funeral Mass was held March 31 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by the Rev. Clarke Maes. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
