Sandra Lea “Sandy” Neff, 75, of De Soto died Sept. 22, 2021, at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto. Mrs. Neff worked as a clerk at the Mobil gas station on Tesson Ferry and was a member of Twin City Church of Christ in Festus. She enjoyed ladies’ Bible classes, lunch with friends, reading God’s word, listening to old time rock-and-roll music, watching scary movies, games, puzzles and family celebrations. Born Dec. 13, 1945, in Wichita, Kan., she was the daughter of the late William B. and Annabelle (Nash) Sullivan.
She is survived by two daughters: Shellie (Jon) Shadduck of De Soto and Regina (Phil) Nicholson of Leesville, La.; two sons: Robert (Susie) Neff of Camdenton and Daniel (Allissa) Neff of Lebanon; a sister: Kathy Sullivan of Wichita; 12 grandchildren: Joseph (Brittany) Shadduck, Erin Shadduck, Jeremiah Shadduck, David Fernandes, Shellie (Stephen) Jannise, Brandon Surles, Melissa Webster, Heather Messer, Tonya Neff, Bailey Neff, Carson Neff and Cameron Neff; eight great-grandchildren: Lucy Shadduck, Harper Shadduck, Kylie Jannise, Dustin Jannise, Abigail Blume, Tiegan Fairchild, Kenneth Thacker, Zoey Messer and Parker Neff; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Oleta (the late Ron) Mott; and a brother: Larry (Michelle survives of Florida.) Sullivan.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main., in Festus. Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in Lake Memorial Cemetery in Osage Beach. Memorials may be made to the In Search of the Lord’s Way Bible Program, P.O. Box 371, Edmond, OK 73083-371. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
