Samuel Curtis “Curt” Martin, 60, of Ironton, formerly of Hillsboro, died Dec. 4, 2021, at Baptist Home in Ironton. Mr. Martin was retired from Jeffco Subcontracting Inc. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Mr. Martin was a member of the NextStep for Life program, where he often danced and enjoyed music with his friends and took trips. He also was active in Special Olympics, competing in bowling, track and field and bocce. He was born Feb. 21, 1961, in Hillsboro, the son of the late Betty (Crose) and Samuel E. Martin.
He is survived by two sisters: Donna Soto of Fayetteville, N.C., and Lois (Mark) Menius of Brandon, Miss.; two nieces: Amber (Brandon) Stevens and Rebecca Menius; a nephew: Stephen (Nicole Tennyson) Menius; and a great-niece: Luciana Rodriguez.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
