Roy J. Bresh, 77, of De Soto died March 11, 2017, in Festus. Mr. Bresh was a home health aide with American Home Patient. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born Sept. 9, 1939, in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Nicholas) Bresh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Bresh.
He is survived by his wife: Priscilla (Ganniger) Bresh of De Soto; two stepchildren: Donna (Donald) McDonald of Sparks, Nev., and Debbie (Paul) Bequette of Festus; three siblings: Ed (Joyce) Bresh of Bridgeport, Conn., Don (Elaine) Bresh of Milford, Conn., and Arthur (Barbara) Bresh of Stratford, Conn.;five step-grandchildren: Michael (Hope) Clark, James Clark, Wesley White, Christopher White and Rebecka Bequette; and one step-great-grandchild: Blayne Calvert.
He was preceded in death by a stepson: David Thebeau.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
