Rosalie I. Lancaster, 73, of Bloomsdale, died May 22, 2017, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Des Peres. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church of Bloomsdale and loved to read and visit family. Born Oct. 17, 1943, in Maryville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Comilla (Medley) and John Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Lee Lancaster.
She is survived by a son: Destry L. (fiancé Heather) Ketcherside of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; two daughters: Tanya L. (Tom) Arnold of Seabrook, S.C., and Crystal G. (Jason) Saylor of Bloomsdale; a brother: Johnny (Kathy) Hubbard of Caseyville, Ill.; two sisters-in-law: Sue Hubbard of Highland, Ill., and Joan Hubbard of Russellville, Ark.; seven grandchildren: Erica R. (Joseph) Chappell, Jacob X. Ketcherside, Luke B. Arnold, Vashti E. Arnold, Lydia B. Arnold, Wyatt D. Saylor and Levi J. Saylor; and two great-grandchildren: Logan B. Chappell and Oliver G. Chappell.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Daniel G. Hubbard, Frank (the late Becky) Hubbard, Walter “Chalk” Hubbard and James (the late Kitty) Hubbard.
Funeral services were held May 26 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Francis Roberts. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
