Ronnie Menees Sr., 77, Cedar Hill

Ronnie Menees Sr., 77, of Cedar Hill died June 6, 2022, at the Big River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Hill. Mr. Menees was self-employed as a cement finisher. He followed the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he enjoyed reading the Bible and spreading its message. He also liked reading about and looking at old cars, watching movies and listening to music from his youth. Born Dec. 20, 1944, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jewell Beatrice Holmes and Lea Menees.

He is survived by two children: Ronnie (Lesley) Menees Jr. of High Ridge and Rachelle Gage of Quincy, Ill.; three siblings: Beverly (Jim) Brock of Park Hills, Danny Menees of Potosi and Mike Menees of De Soto; six grandchildren: Chelsae (Ian) Lowery of LaGrange, Kayla and Kelsey Menees of High Ridge, and Rianna, Isabella and Audrey Gage of Quincy Ill.; and one great-grandchild: Violet Lowery of LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by four siblings: Steve, James, Kenny and Richard Menees

Burial will be in Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of St. Louis.
