Ronald Stephen Herrell, 57, of Holly Hills Fla., formerly of Imperial, died Feb. 17, 2021, at his home. Mr. Herrell worked as a butcher for Herrell’s Market in Imperial. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, the beach, and spending time with his family. Born Sept. 5, 1963, in Crystal City, he was the son of Evelyn M. (Kennedy) Herrell and the late Ronald G. Herrell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son: Nathan S. Herrell of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren: Andrew, Evelyn and Gabriella; three sisters: Susan (Mark) Waterkotte of Arnold, Barbara (Jim) Dostal of Imperial and Jan (Jim) Fischer of Crystal City; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild: Ryan.
Mr. Herrell chose to be an organ donor. A graveside memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City, officiated by Father Daniel Shaughnessy. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
