Ronald “Hutch” Hutchings, 68, of High Ridge died April 11, 2021. Mr. Hutchings was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War from 1970-1974. He was a union journeyman carpenter for close to 30 years. He loved his guns, steak and beer. He also loved to tell jokes to himself or others. Born in St. Francois County, he was the son of the late James Robert “Bob” and Alberta Hutchings.
He is survived by two sons: Raymond (Ashley) Hutchings and Benjamin (Donald) Hutchings; two grandchildren: Brandon and Alana; a sister: Rene (Dennis) Stephens; and many nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother: Mike; and a sister: Toni.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (April 23) in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
