Ronald H. Ogle, 76, of Springfield, formerly of Festus, died Feb. 5, 2018, at his home. Mr. Ogle was a funeral director and embalmer with Vinyard Funeral Homes for 37 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Born Nov. 28, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Nellie Estelle (Young) and Henry William Ogle. He was preceded in death by his wife: Helen Marie (McBroom) Ogle.
He is survived by a sister: Janet Gail Ogle of Springfield; a niece: Linda (Randy) Underwood of Springfield; a great-nephew: Jacob Underwood of Springfield; and a brother-in-law: Delmar Hunning of St. Louis.
He also was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Mae Hunning.
Graveside services were held Feb. 9 at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Chip Rudin. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
