Gosnell, ronald

Ronald Gene Gosnell, Sr., 59, of Lonoke, Ark., formerly of Pevely, died June 22, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Gosnell was the public works director for the city of Lonoke, Ark., and a member of the Mississippi River Eagles in Crystal City. Born Oct. 3, 1955, in Paragould, Ark., he was the son of Billy G. Gosnell of Pevely and the late Almarie (Burgess) Gosnell.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter: Gracie M.A. (Samuel) Gosnell Jackson of south St. Louis; a son: Ronald G. Gosnell Jr. of south St. Louis; his former wife: Sherry Gosnell; three brothers: Thomas F. (Martha) Gosnell of San Antonio, Texas, Billy S. (Sheila) Gosnell of Arnold and Larry J. Gosnell of Pevely; and his dog, Cooter.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, June 26, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Chris Goodwin. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
