Roger Earl Harris, 72, of Festus died July 10, 2016, at his home. Mr. Harris was a lineman for the Chrysler Corp. and a member of the United Auto Workers. He enjoyed carpentry, westerns, picking and drag racing. Born Sept. 18, 1943, in Fredericktown, he was the son of Raymond Lovette of Poplar Bluff and the late Alma (Mullins) Lovette.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy (McKenzie) Harris; a son: Roger O. (Lynn) Harris of Rockwell, N.C.; three daughters: Marti Woning of Belton, Texas, Kelly (Rex) DeNoyer of St. Louis and Angela Harris of Festus; two brothers: Larry (Jan) Rommel and Kenny (Carol) Rommel, both of Poplar Bluff; two sisters: Phyllis (Dennis) Rommel and Ruth (Jeff) Lewis, both of Poplar Bluff; a sister-in-law: Barb Rommel of Poplar Bluff; a brother-in-law: Roger Myers of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren: Brendon, Addison, Melissa, Michael, Christopher, Laurel, Rachel, Jacob and McKenzie; and four great-grandchildren: Parker, Logan, Mia and Gunner.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Dwayne Rommel; and a sister: Virginia “Sissy” Myers.

Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38101. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
