Roger Dale Shepard, 58, of Crystal City died Dec. 31, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Shepard was a carpenter at Imperial Foundation and a volunteer firefighter with the Crystal City Fire Department. He enjoyed playing the guitar and playing softball for the Elks Lodge. Born Sept. 16, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Emmitt “Doc” and Sally (Logan) Shepard.
He is survived by two sons: Eric (Dawn) Shepard of Pevely and Kyle Shepard of Arnold; a daughter: Sarah Shepard of Crystal City; a brother: Butch (Lori) Shepard of Festus; a sister: Patty (Patrick) Hoover of Crystal City; three grandchildren: Samantha, Analisa and Eric; and two great-grandchildren: Kenlie and Kaylen. He was preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Shepard.
Funeral services were private. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
