Roger Dale Fowler, 68, of Festus died May 15, 2020, at his home. Mr. Fowler retired after 44 years as an equipment operator for the Festus Street Department. He was a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks and the Plattin Rock Boat Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards and visits to the racetrack. Born Oct. 20, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Maggie (Stuthers) and Joseph N. Fowler.
He is survived by his significant other: Cindy Johnson; a daughter: Kelly (Kevin) Brown; two grandchildren: Ashton and Taylor Brown; a brother: James Fowler of Ste. Genevieve County; two sisters: Vonda (David) Crader of Fenton and Jolene (Courtney “Corky”) Moreland of Farmington; and numerous family members and friends.
Graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Jeff Purvis. Memorials may be made to the Crystal Oaks Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
